David Michael Karandos was a registered broker until he was barred from FINRA in July 2022. Before he was barred from FINRA, David was registered as a broker with Dinosaur Financial Group. His Linkedin profile also lists him as the “Sr. Vice President, Financial Advisor, CIMA at RMR Wealth Management LLC” until November 2019. According to FINRA’s BrokerCheck, David Karandos is the subject of 13 disclosures.

According to FINRA’s BrokerCheck, David Karandos was barred from FINRA after he “refused to appear for on-the-record testimony requested by FINRA.” He is the subject of 13 Disclosures, including:

 

  • August 2021 – Customer Dispute; Award/Judgment. Amount: $314,564.84. Allegations include that Karandos sold unsuitable alternative private investments to customers.
  • November 2020 – Customer Dispute; Pending. Amount: $436,000. Allegations include placing customers in unsuitable investments and improperly withdrawing funds from family accounts.
  • March 2018 – Judgment/Lien. Amount: $56,367.51. Tax lien.
  • May 2015 – Judgment/Lien. Amount: $434,536.70. Tax lien.
  • October 2013 – Regulatory; Final. Karandos was sanctioned for omitting information on his U-4 form and engaging in dishonest or unethical practices in the securities and investment business.
  • July 2022 – Regulatory; Final. Karandos consented to a bar from the securities industry for refusing to appear for on-the-record testimony requested by FINRA.

 

Prior to Dinosaur Financial Group, David Karandos was registered with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, Morgan Stanley & Co., UBS Financial Services, Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner & Smith, and Mimlic Sales Corporation.
