Former Deutsche Bank Securities Broker Rashawn Russell Indicted for Fraudulent R3 Crypto Fund
On April 6, 2023, the United States of America filed an indictment in the United States District Court, Eastern District of New York, against Russell for allegedly engaging in a scheme to defraud investors by inducing them to invest with the former Deutsche Bank Securities broker based on the false premise that he would use investor money for cryptocurrency investments. Most of the investments were allegedly misappropriated and used for Russell’s personal benefit, and he failed to provide investors with promised rates of return.

According to Finra’s Brokercheck, Rashawn Russell was formerly a broker with Deutsche Bank Securities from August 2018 to December 2021. He has been in the securities industry since 2018, and held SIE, Series 63 and Series 79 licenses.
In April 2023, the United States of America filed an indictment against Russell for his involvement in the allegedly fraudulent R3 Crypto fund scheme. The United States of America has alleged causes of action, including Wire Fraud and Criminal Forfeiture.
