According to FINRA’s BrokerCheck website for Public Disclosures, Angelo Talebi is the subject of 38 disclosures (two of which are still pending). Some of the more notable disclosures are as follows::

• August 2020 – Customer Dispute – Pending. Damage amount requested: $150,000. Allegations include overconcentration and unsuitable alternative investments.
• January 2020 – Customer Dispute – Pending. Allegations: “unsuitability with regards to a purchase of non-traded REITs.”
• June 2017 – Customer Dispute – Settled. Settlement amount: $328,650. Allegations: “misrepresentation and unsuitability.”
• September 2016 – Employment Separation After Allegations. Firm name: LPL Financial Services. Termination Type: Voluntary Resignation.
• February 2016 – Customer Dispute – Settled. Settlement amount: $50,000. Allegations: “misrepresentation and unsuitability.”
• December 2015 – Regulatory – Final (Suspension for 60 days). Reasons: “Talebi executed transactions in the customer’s online account at the other firm using the customer’s login credentials and password. Additionally, Talebi did not notify the other firm that he was associated with a FINRA member firm.”
• December 2015 – Customer Dispute – Settled. Settlement amount: $297,000. Allegations: “misrepresentation and unsuitability.”
• September 2015 – Customer Dispute – Settled. Settlement amount: $100,000. Allegations include misrepresentation and unsuitability “in connection with investment in Leaf IV, a REIT and a Variably Annuity”, as well as “excessive trading an unsuitable use of margin.”

Their broker-dealer (employing brokerage firm) has a legal obligation and regulatory obligation to supervise the financial advisor’s sales practices and dealings with clients.
